Essence of Things is Shizico's latest series explores the simple pleasure of colours and the simplicity of forms around her life.
The project goes in two directions; one is reimagining the colours of objects and landscape around her, and the other is to document moments of contentment, finding pockets of silent joy in day-to-day living with the simple act of drawing in purer forms.
Both ways are attempts to find new visual languages in her artmaking after years of dark period in her personal life.
