SuniVerse-Blue: A captivating interpretation merging the enchanting night sky with one of Nebraska's native flowers, the Blue Phlox. This unique piece draws inspiration from the client's name, Sunil, which signifies "Deep Dark Blue," as well as the intricate forms of the plant. Shizico applies hand-gilded gold leaf, accentuated by bold brushstrokes depicting the Blue Phlox against the deep blue canvas of the night sky.
SuniVerse-Orange: In this abstract landscape, Shizico explores imaginary celestial bodies adorning the sky. Inspired by Japanese woodblock prints and a nod to calligraphic traditions, this series continues Shizico's "Sunlit Series," where she further refines her pictorial language, particularly centred around the colour yellow. It's an exploration of the healing power of yellow, emphasized through the application of Gold Leaf.
