Golden Period-Morning Light-Large Canvas Limited only 3 -hand painted Finishing
Large Canvas Limited Edition-hand painted Finishing
An exploration centred around the colour yellow and its potential healing effects for individuals experiencing grief, this painting is the 1st full view landscape painting of Golden Period series. Featuring burgundy-coloured Aeoniums, green foliage, and trees viewed under the warm morning sunlight.
About the painting:
For over 40 years, Benton End in Suffolk, UK served as the residence of the legendary artist and plantsman Cedric Morris, who also founded the East Anglian School of Painting and Drawing. Notably, his school attracted some of the most prominent Modern British artists, including Lucian Freud and Maggi Hambling.
This year, landscape designer Sarah Price drew inspiration from Morris's paintings to create the highly acclaimed Nurture Landscapes Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show.
As one artist passing the torch to another (Sarah herself being an artist before a landscape designer), Shizico Yi embarked on a series of paintings inspired by the garden's exquisite beauty.
Concurrently, this project marks the beginning of Shizico's Golden Period, an exploration centred around the colour yellow and its potential healing effects for individuals experiencing grief.
This painting is the 4th of the series. Featuring burgundy-coloured Aeoniums, green foliage, and trees viewed under the warm morning sunlight.
